The Miculla Archaeological Area in Tacna Promoted as a UFO-Influenced Area.
Tour companies promote the area's petroglyphs as part of an "extraterrestrial visitation"

A lack of awareness and general knowledge among some tour companies is Tacna has given rise to confusion in disseminating the area's tourist potential.

Archaeologist Jesús Gordillo Begazo cautioned that certain travel agencies are promoting the Miculla Archaeological Area's petroglyphs as part of an extraterrestrial visitation. "Miculla's cultural and archaeological narrative is being distorted, which reprehensible indeed."

The expert stated that an agency was responsible for the error in disseminating the information, which was swiftly spread across social media.

"I suspect that this is what appears in their brochure, or it could be a tour guide's own interpretation. The fact is that all tour guides must employ a text about Miculla that has been approved by the Dirección Desconcentrada de Cultura (Decentralized Cultural Office) and Directur," he added.

David Rendon Cohaila, president of the Regional Chamber of Tourism (Caretur) believes that some parties are swindling tourist groups visiting Tacna with the unfounded notion that Miculla is a hot spot for sightings. "Some unscrupulous parties promote it as a UFO area. That's a swindle. There is no scientific evidence to suggest it," he explained.

The fact is that both Rendon and Gordillo agreed that "it is necessary for Tacna's tour operators to train their tour guides."

"What is being disseminated is truly irresponsible, since they hire youngsters who are still in school in order to pay them little. They're not even in their third year of Travel and Tourism and they're sent to the field," complains Rendon.

High Strangeness in Alameda, California

This high strangeness photo was taken by a witness in Alameda, California on December 29. The sighting was a close one, and the object was flashing rapidly and moving too erratically to be a drone. Shortly, a second, similar object appeared. The sighting was reported to MUFON and is on their database.

Rapidly flashing UFOs are fairly rare, but not unknown. A number of flashing UFOs were observed over the UK in the latter half of 2015, including this one in Warwickshire.

Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton to Seek Disclosure on UFOs

At a recent editorial board meeting with the New Hampshire newspaper The Conway Daily Sun, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton reminisced with a reporter about a conversation they had in 2007, regarding the subject of UFOs. If she is elected president, she said that she would address the issue of disclosure: "Yes, I'm going to get to the bottom of it."

Clinton also said that her campaign chairman, John Podesta, made her promise to address the issue of disclosure: "He has made me personally pledge we are going to get the information out. One way or another. Maybe we could have, like, a task force to go to Area 51."

Disclosure may be Imminent. But can We Take It?

Her friend and adviser John Podesta said in a tweet last February that it was not only time for disclosure, but that "it's the law." In September, George H.W. Bush said that "Americans can't handle the truth." In 1988, when questioned about the matter, he commented that he was "very careful in public when dealing with classified information." The question is always asked, "why can't we handle the truth?" If we were told that there were aliens here studying us, we could handle that. But that cannot be the whole truth, not from all that I have experienced and observed, and it might not be part of the truth in any way.

Temperature at the North Pole Rises Above Freezing

Keeping in step with the record-breaking high temperatures that were experienced over the holidays, and over 2015 for that matter, the North Pole also saw unseasonably warm weather -- with one projection showing the temperature going above freezing for six hours.

The same warming trend in Atlantic and Pacific waters that contributed to massive storm systems across eastern regions of North America and in northern Europe also pushed temperatures at the North Pole to the freezing mark, with Environment Canada reporting that an ocean buoy near the pole registered a temperature of 0ºC (32ºF) on Dec. 30. Seattle, a city with mild winter temperatures, was actually colder on the same day, at -1ºC (30ºF).

New Imaging Device uses Wi-Fi Signals to See Through Walls

Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed a device that can directly image a person through solid walls, in real time. The device, called RF-Capture, transmits regular wi-fi signals into the area being imaged: in the case of their demonstration device, through a wall. When the signals are reflected back by a human body, they are picked up by the device's receiver, and then they are put through an imaging processor to produce an on-screen image of the individual.
